Belief: If the deceased was not buried in a grave then the questions of the grave will be asked to him wherever he is. That is where he will receive either reward or punishment. 

In other words, if a lion ate a person, he will be questioned in the belly of the lion, and he will receive his reward or punishment too in the belly of the lion.

दूसरे शब्दों में, अगर एक शेर ने किसी शख्स को खाया, तो शेर के पेट में सवाल पूछे जाएंगे, और शेर के पेट में उसे अपना पुरस्कार या सजा भी मिलेगी।

If a body has been disintegrated and the bones and flesh have turned to dust, no matter wherever the particles may be, Almighty Allah will gather all the basic elements, bringing it back into being from its original particles which do not disintegrate. 

This is known as ‘Hashr’ (The Resurrection). Only a misguided person will reject the punishments and rewards of the grave.

अगर एक जिस्म विघटित हो गया है और हड्डियों और मांस धूल में बदल गए हैं, तो चाहे कहीं भी कण हो, अल्लाह अज़वजल सभी बुनियादी तत्वों को इकट्ठा करेगा, इसे अपने मूल कणों से प्राप्त कर लिया जाएगा जो विघटित नहीं होते हैं।

इसे 'हशर' (पुनरुत्थान) के रूप में जाना जाता है। केवल एक गुमराह व्यक्ति कब्र की सजा और पुरस्कार को इंकार करेंगे।

The body of a person does not change merely because of certain changes in its physical structure, caused by growth or reduction. An example of this is a child, who is so small at birth, yet the child grows so quickly into an adult. Another example is that of a strong muscular youth who becomes weak and feeble due to illness.

After recovering from an illness, the same youth becomes lean, strong and healthy again. 

After all this, it cannot be said that it is not the same person. The condition on the day of Qiyaamat is thus very much similar.

किसी शख्स का जिस्म सिर्फ अपनी शारीरिक संरचना में कुछ बदलावों की वजह से नहीं बदलता है, जो विकास या कमी के कारण होता है। इसका एक उदाहरण बच्चा है, जो जन्म के समय इतना छोटा है, फिर भी वो बच्चा एक वयस्क में इतनी जल्दी बदलता है। एक और उदाहरण यह है कि एक मजबूत पेशी के युवा जो बीमारियों के कारण कमजोर हो जाता हैं।

बीमारी से उबरने के बाद, वो ही जवान दुबला, मजबूत और स्वस्थ फिर से बन जाता है

आखिरकार, यह नहीं कहा जा सकता कि यह एक ही शख्स नहीं है। क़यामत के दिन की स्थिति बहुत ही समान है।

On the day of Qiyaamat, the physical body will be raised again through these particles. These are very minute particles which are found in the spinal column and are known as ‘Ajabuz Zamb’. 

These particles are so minute, that they cannot even be seen through a microscope. Neither can they be destroyed by fire, nor can they be eroded by the earth. These particles are in reality the basic elements of the physical body. The soul will thus be re-entered into the original body on the day of Qiyaamat, and not into a new body.

क़यामत के दिन, इन कणों के माध्यम से भौतिक जिस्म फिर से उठाया जाएंगे। ये बहुत ही छोटे कण हैं जो रीढ़ की हड्डी के स्तंभ में पाए जाते हैं और इसे 'अजबज़ जाम्ब' कहा जाता है

ये कण इतने छोटे हैं, कि उन्हें सूक्ष्मदर्शी के माध्यम से भी नहीं देखा जा सकता है। न तो उन्हें आग से नष्ट किया जा सकता है, न ही वे ज़मीन से नष्ट हो सकते हैं। ये कण वास्तविकता में हैं भौतिक शरीर के मूल तत्व। इस प्रकार क़यामत के दिन रूह को मूल जिस्म में फिर से दाखिल किया जाएगा, और एक नए जिस्म में नहीं।

Belief: The severe punishment and comforting rewards of the grave are true (i.e. indisputable fact). Just as it has been mentioned earlier, the punishment or reward is for both the body and the soul. 

Even if the body has been burnt, disintegrated or turned into dust, its original particles shall still remain in existence. All the pain and comfort will be experienced through these particles.

They will continuously beat him (Munafiqs (hypocrites)) with the powerful metal rods. Snakes and scorpions will also inflict punishment on him, constantly biting and stinging him.

Even his evil deeds will be transformed into vicious dogs, wolves and other forms, and these too will inflict punishment and torment upon him. The good deeds of a person will take pleasant forms, giving him immense comfort and tranquillity.

वे लगातार शक्तिशाली धातु की छड़ के साथ उसे (मुनाफीक) मार देंगे। सांप और बिच्छू भी उस पर दंड लगाएंगे, लगातार उसे काटने और डांट जाएगा।

यहां तक कि उनके बुरे आमाल को कुटिल कुत्तों, भेड़िये और अन्य रूपों में बदल दिया जाएगा, और ये भी उन पर सज़ा और पीड़ा देंगे। किसी व्यक्ति के अच्छे आमाल ने सुखद रूप लेते हुए उन्हें बहुत अधिक आराम और शांति प्रदान की।

A voice will then call out, saying, ‘He is a liar. Prepare for him the bed of fire and dress him in the garb of fire, and open for him a door leading to Hell’. 

He will experience the intensity of its heat, and two Angels will be assigned to inflict punishment on him. These Angels will not have the ability to hear or see, and in their hands, they will have powerful metal rods, which will have the capability of turning a mountain into dust if the mountain were struck with it.

वह अपनी गर्मी की तीव्रता का एहसास करेगा, और उसे सजा देने के लिए दो फरिस्ते को सौंप दिया जाएगा। ये फरिस्ते में सुनने या देखने की क्षमता नहीं होगी, और उनके हाथों में, उनके पास शक्तिशाली धातु की छड़ें होंगी, जो कि पहाड़ को धूल में बदलने की क्षमता होगी यदि पहाड़ इससे टकरा जाए।

If the deceased is a hypocrite, he will reply to the questions of the grave by saying:

‘Unfortunately, I do not know anything’

He will then say:

‘I used to hear the people proclaim something and I too proclaimed the same.’ A voice will then call out, saying, ‘He is a liar.'

अगर मरहूम एक पाखंडी सख्स है, तो वह ये कह कर कब्र के सवालों के जवाब देगा:

वह फिर कहेंगा:

'मैं लोगों को कुछ कहते सुनता था और मैंने भी उसकी शहादत की थी।' तो फिर एक आवाज कहेंगी, 'ये झूठा है।'

The procedure for the Munafiqs (hypocrites) will be entirely opposite to the above mentioned procedure. First, the window leading to Jannat will be opened unto him, from which he will experience the fragrant and cool breeze of Paradise and as he realizes its magnificence, it will be immediately closed. 

This will be done so that he realizes what a great bounty he has been deprived of, and so that he realizes the severe torment that he is about to face, for disrespecting and saying blasphemous words in the Court of the Rasool’Allah (Sallallaho Alaihe Wasallam).

यह अमल मुनाफीक के लिए पूरी तरह से अलग है। सबसे पहले, जन्नत की ओर खिड़की खोल दी जाएगी, जिसमें से वह जन्नत की खुसबूदार और ठंडी हवा का एहसास करेंगा, और जब वह उसकी महानता का एहसास करेगा, तो वो तुरंत बंद हो जाएंगी।

ऐसा किया जाएगा ताकि वह जान सके कि वह कितनी बड़ी नेमत से बाकी रह गया है, और इसीलिए ताकि वो रसूलअल्लाह (सल्लल्लाहो अलैहे वसल्लम) के दरबार में नफरत भरे अलफ़ाज़ कहने के लिए उस भारी अज़ाब का एहसास करे जिसका उसे सामना करना है।

It has also been mentioned that a window leading to Jannat will be opened for a believer. This is in the sense that, first the window of hell shall be opened unto him from his left, through which he will experience the intense heat and foul odour of hell. It will then be closed immediately and the window of Jannat shall be opened to his right. 

He will then be told: ‘If you had not been able to answer the questions correctly, then that was for you. Now this, (Paradise) is for you.’ This will be done, so that the deceased may acknowledge and truly appreciate the Grace of his Lord, reflecting on how He spared him from severe torment and blessed him with such a great blessing.

यह भी उल्लेख किया गया है कि जन्नत की जानिब वाली खिड़की एक ईमानवाले के लिए खोल दी जाएगी। यह इस मायने में है कि, पहले जहन्नुम की खिड़की उसके बाएं और से खोल दी जाएगी, जिसकी वजह से वह जहन्नुम के गहन गर्मी और गंदगी का एहसास करेगा। यह फ़ौरन बंद हो जाएंगी और जन्नत की खिड़की उसके दाहिनी ओर खुल जाएगी।

उसके बाद उसे कहा जाएगा: 'अगर आप सवालों के सही ढंग से जवाब नहीं दे पाते, तो वो आपके लिए था। अब यह (जन्नत) तुम्हारे लिए है. 'ऐसा किया जाएगा, ताकि मरहूम यह जान ले और अल्लाह की रेहमत की तारीफ़ करता रहे, यह बात पर सोचते हुए कि अल्लाह ने उसे भारी अज़ाब से बचाया और उसे इस तरह के एक महान नेमत के साथ नवाज़ दिया।

Some have mentioned that the torment of the grave for a sinful believer is only until the eve of a Friday. As soon as this night comes, the punishment is lifted (Allah Ta’ala Knows Best). 

It is indeed evident from the Hadith that a believer who passes away on the eve of a Friday, or on the Friday, or during any day or night in Ramadan, will be spared from the questioning of the ‘Nakeerain’ and the punishment of the grave.

कुछ लोगों ने उल्लेख किया है कि एक गुनहगार के लिए कब्र का अज़ाब सिर्फ जुम्मा की अगली शाम तक है जैसे ही इस रात आती है, अज़ाब उठाया जाता है. (अल्लाह तआला बेहतर जानता है).

यह हकीकत में हदीस से स्पष्ट है कि एक ईमानवाला जो जुम्मा की अगली शाम, या जुम्मा को, या रमजान में किसी भी दिन या रात के दौरान गुजरता है, तो उसे को 'नकिरैं' के सवालों से और कब्र के अज़ाब से आज़ादी मिलेंगी।

Some of the deceased will receive punishment in their graves, depending on the extent of their wrongs. 

However, through the intercession of their ‘Peers’ and ‘Masha’ikh’, i.e. Spiritual Guides and Spiritual Grandmasters, and through the blessing of the Imams of the Madhab and the Awliyah Allah, or merely through His Mercy, Almighty Allah will grant them salvation when He Wills.

Post 016

This privilege will be generally exclusive to the chosen servants of Allah. However, if Allah wills then ordinary believers can benefit from this as well. Otherwise, the expanding of the grave will vary for each person, depending on his religious status (i.e. piety). 

The grave will be expanded up to 70 hand lengths in length and breadth for some, whilst others will be given as much space as they wish for, even as far as the eye can see.

यह विशेषाधिकार आमतौर पर अल्लाह के चुने हुए बन्दों के लिए ही केवल होगा। हालांकि, अगर अल्लाह चाहे तो सामान्य ईमानवालो को भी इसका फायदा हो सकता है. वरना, कब्र का फैलाव हर एक सख्स के लिए अलग होगा, उनके आमाल के आधार पर।

कब्र का विस्तार 70 हाथों की लंबाई और कुछ के लिए चौड़ाई में किया जाएगा, जबकि दूसरों को जितना चाहें उतना बढ़ा दिया जाएगा, जहां तक आंख देख सकते हैं।

Then a voice will call out from the sky saying: ‘My servant has spoken the truth. Prepare for him the bed of Jannat, adorn him in the garb of Jannat and open for him a door leading to Jannat.’

The cool and fragrant breeze of paradise will flow into his grave and his grave will be extended for as far as his eyes can see. It will then be said to him: ‘Sleep like a bridegroom sleeps.’

तब एक आवाज आसमान से आती है: 'मेरे बन्दे ने सच कहा है। उसके लिए जन्नत का बिस्तर तैयार करें, उसे जन्नत की आड़ में सजाना और उसके लिए जन्नत की ओर एक दरवाजा खोलो। '

जन्नत की अमन और खुसबूदार हवा उसकी कब्र में बह जाएगी और उसकी कब्र जहा तक उसकी आँखें देख सकती है, तब तक बढ़ा दी जाएगी। तब उसे कहा जाएगा: 'नींद की नींद सोती है।'

The Angels will ask the deceased as to who informed him of this and he will say:  ‘I read the Book of Allah and believed in it, confirming whatever is in it.’

Other narrations have mentioned that after receiving the reply to the questions, the Angels will say: ‘We knew that you were going to say this.’

फरिस्ते मुर्दे से पूछेंगे कि उसे इसके बारे में किसने बताया तो वो कहेंगे: 'मैंने अल्लाह की किताब पढ़ी और इस्पे ईमान लाया, इसमें जो कुछ है, उसकी मैं गवाही देता हूं।'

और रिवायतों से साबित है कि सवालों के जवाब लेने करने के बाद, फरिस्ते कहेंगे: 'हम जानते थे कि आप ये कहोगे।'

If the deceased is a Muslim, he will reply by saying:

‘Allah is my Rab’

 ‘Islam is my Religion’

His reply to the third question will be:

‘He is Allah’s Beloved Prophet?’

Belief: When the people return after burying him, the deceased hears the sound of their footsteps. Just then, two Angels appear, tearing through the earth with their teeth. Their appearance is very fierce and dreadful. Their bodies are black and they have huge blackish blue eyes, which are as huge as cauldrons, blazing with fire. 

They have long mattered hair and teeth that are many hand lengths long, with which they rip open the ground as they come towards the deceased. One is called ‘Munkir’ and the other is called ‘Nakeer’. They awaken the deceased by jolting him aggressively, before questioning and interrogating him in a severely harsh tone.

अक़ीदह: जब लोग उसे दफनाने के बाद वापस आते हैं, तो मय्यत उनके पैरों की आवाज सुनती है। तब बस, उसे दो फरिस्ते दिखाई देते हैं, जो ज़मीन को अपने दांतो से चिर कर निकलते है। उनका दिखाव बहुत भयंकर और भयानक है उनका जिस्म काला हैं और उनके पास बड़ी काली नीली आंखें हैं, जो कड़ाकों के जैसी बड़ी हैं, आग से चमकती  हैं.

उनके पास घने बाल है और उनके दांत काफी हाथो जितने लम्बे है, जिससे वे जमीन को चीरते हैं और वे मुर्दे की तरफ आते हैं। एक को 'मुंकर' कहा जाता है और दूसरे को 'नकीर' कहा जाता है. वो मुर्दे को ज़ोरो के साथ झटका लगाकर उठाते है इससे पहले की वो कठोर आवाज़ में सवालात करे।

Belief: The deceased is also able to speak, and except for the ordinary humans and Jins, all the other animals etc. are able to hear him.

Belief: When the deceased is laid to rest in his grave, the grave squeezes him. If he is a Muslim, the grave gently squeezes him as a mother hugs her child very snugly with love and affection. If he is a kaafir, the grave presses him with such force, that his ribs from the right protrude from the left and the ribs from the left protrude from the right.

अक़ीदह: मुर्दा भी बोलने के काबिल है, और सामान्य इंसानों और जिंसों को छोड़कर, बाकी सभी जानवरों आदि उसे सुनने में काबिल हैं।

अक़ीदह: जब मय्यत को उसकी कब्र में आराम करने के लिए उतारा जाता है, तो कब्र उसे अपने अंदर दबा लेती है। अगर वह मुस्लिम है, तो कब्र धीरे-धीरे उसे दबती है जैसे एक माँ प्यार और मुहब्बत के साथ अपने बच्चे को पकड़ती है। अगर वह एक काफिर है, तो उसे इस ताक़त के साथ कब्र में दबाया जाता है, कि दाएं तरफ की पसलिया बायीं तरफ और बायीं तरफ की पसलिया दाएं तरफ से निकलती है.

Belief: To believe that soul enters another body after death, be it that of another human or animal, which is called ‘Tanasukh’ or ‘Awagawan’, i.e. re-incarnation, is baseless and kufr.

Belief: Death refers to the separation of the soul from the body. It does not mean that the soul dies. One who believes that the soul is totally obliterated is a Bud Mazhab (misguided and deviant).

अक़ीदह: यह भरोसा करना कि रूह मौत के बाद किसी दूसरे जिस्म में दाखिल होती है, चाहे वो किसी दूसरे इंसान या जानवर हो, जिसे 'तनासुख' या 'अवगवान' मतलब पुनर्जन्म कहा जाता है, ये आधारहीन और कुफ़्र है।

अक़ीदह: मौत जिस्म से रूह को अलग करने का तरीक़ा है। इसका मतलब यह नहीं है कि रूह मर जाती है जो मानता है कि रूह का नामोनिशान मिट जाता है वह एक बद मज़हब है (भटका हुआ और विचित्र)।
