Some of the souls reside under the Arsh of Allah in lanterns of light, whilst others reside in Alaa Iliyain (exalted place) but no matter where the soul may be, it remains connected to its body.
It recognizes and observes those who come to its grave. It even hears their words. The power of seeing by the soul is not only restricted to near the grave. Its example has been explained in the Hadith as follows: ‘It is like a bird that was caged and has now been set free.’

कुछ रूहे नूर के रौशनी में अल्लाह के अर्श के नीचे रहते हैं, जबकि काफी लोग अल्ला इलियान (ऊंचे मकाम) में रहते हैं, लेकिन रूह चाहे कही भी हो, यह उसके जिस्म से जुडी रहती है।
यह उनकी कब्र पर आने वाले लोगों को पहचानती है और देखती है। यह उनके अल्फाज़ो को भी सुनती है रूह द्वारा देखने की ताकत सिर्फ कब्र के पास ही सीमित नहीं है इसकी मिसाल हदीस में समजायी गयी है: 'यह एक ऐसे पक्षी की तरह है जिसे बंदी बना दिया गया था और अब इसे आज़ाद कर दिया गया है।'
