The earliest known medical experiment was carried out by Razi in order to find the most hygienic place to build a hospital. He hung pieces of meat in places throughout 10th century Baghdad and observed where the meat decomposed least quickly, and that was where he built the hospital.

अस्पताल बनाने के लिए सबसे स्वच्छ जगह खोजने के लिए सबसे पहले ज्ञात चिकित्सकीय प्रयोग राज़ी ने किया था। उन्होंने 10 वीं शताब्दी के दौरान बग़दाद में जगह जगह मांस के टुकड़े लटका दिए और देखा कि जहां मांस कम से कम जल्दी से विघटित कहा हो रहा था, और वहां उन्होंने अस्पताल का निर्माण किया था।
