Belief: Almighty Allah created Hazrat Adam (Alaihissalaam) without a mother or father from sand (dust). Allah appointed him as His Khalifa (Representative/Envoy) and blessed him with the knowledge of the names and of all things. Almighty Allah commanded the Angels to go down in Sajdah (prostrate) to Adam (Alaihissalaam).
All obeyed this command except shaitaan who was from the fraternity of Jin, and a great worshipper and was thus counted amongst the Angels but he refused to prostrate, and became cursed forever.

मान्यता: सर्वशक्तिमान अल्लाह ने हज़रत आदम (अलैहिस्सलाम) को बिना किसी मां या पिता के रेत (धूल) से बनाया था. अल्लाह ने उन्हें अपने खलीफा (प्रतिनिधि / दूत) के रूप में नियुक्त किया और उन्हें नाम और सभी चीजों के ज्ञान से नवाज़ा। सर्वशक्तिमान अल्लाह ने सारे फ़रिश्तो को आदम (अलैहिस्सलाम) के सामने सजदे में जाने की आज्ञा दी थी।
सभी ने इस आदेश का पालन किया, सिवाय शैतान के जो कि जिन में से थे, वो एक महान इबादतगार थे और जिन्नो के बिच गिने जाते थे, लेकिन उसने सजदे से इनकार कर दिया, और हमेशा के लिए शापित हो गया।
